Who ya gonna call

The umple and I have once again joined the little buggah in halloween festivities, this time we are Ghostbusters characters and Jackie is a ghostbuster.  What a great time had by all as we roamed around the streets with portable air blowers and all the kids flying ahead of us.

Its funny but i'll start talking to a neighbor and i'll realize how ridiculous i must look to be talking through my mask having a normal conversation......What am I gonna do when they grow up and dont want to go trick or treating anymore????>

Wax museum day

Davey, Davey Crocket, king of the wild frontier

It was Jackies day to be a wax museum figure.....All the kiddies have to stand real still and you have to go up to them and tap them on the shoulder and they start talking about their person.  Usually not a problem as most of the kids stand real still but there was jack, in the back row giving me a huge wave when i came into his area.  I loved it of course.  He did a great job as Davey Crockett.....so cute i must say

Dangerous looking football player...

She's so cute, how could you even think she'd be running over people like she does

Fryeburg Fair with Jackie

The girls were away in Ohio so to continue his birthday week mommy and I brought Jackie to the Fryeburg Fair in Maine.  We all had a wonderful time.  There were a lot of vendors selling all sorts of food and I think I sampled a bit too many of them.  We saw all of the animals and even a horse race.  Jack liked the arcade booths where he got to shoot at targets and throw balls at some targets.  He even won at one of them where he knocked all the pins down and got a huge minion that he had to carry around all day.  We finished at vacation area near Eileen's summer house and the alligator rock.

Alfred E Newman

WHAT JACK, WORRY??  NOOO
We were over Kara's house last week and the Ump thought that Jack looked just like Alfred E. Newman.  They printed up a picture of the cover of Mad magazine and Jackie couldnt believe the similarity

Our high school freshman

Our little baby has grown up!!!  At about six feet tall he's now a Freshman in high school.  This is his school picture.  Just don't tell mommy he looks like Daddy...she'll have none of it.  He's a good kid and we've been very lucky to have all four of them to be angels....hmmmm, sounds familiar

Happy Birthday Jackie

The morning started with the little buggah getting an escort into his class so I could do my normal reading to his class on his birthday.  Usually we get a bag of pencils and stuff to give out to classmates but i forgot this year.  I got to read a couple of halloween books.  The students were funny and were very attentive.
A couple of hours later i went back to the school on this half day and got Jackie and two of his friends and along with Catherine and Quinnie we went to the trampoline place with them all.  They all seem to complain about the dogeball area but they all seem to flock there like magnets.  Catherine and Quinnie seem to do the more gymnastic type of thing while the boys...well, the boys will be boys and bounce around as much as they can.  We did an hour and a half here and fled for some pizza.  After pizza it was off to the ice cream stand....good stuff and after that we headed to our house for some xbox and whatever else fun the kids could hammer out.

As if this wasnt enough for him, on Friday night we headed over to aunt Jo's house for some more birthday celebration time.  Of course aunt jo got him a WWE cake.  He did okay for himself on this night.

I love all these birthday cake videos.  They look like a blazing inferno....

And what did we get here for our birthday???  What every kid asks for their ninth birthday..a metal detector or course.  First it was the Clapper for Christmas, now its a metal detector for his birthday...how awesome actually!!  I laughed so hard when he asked me for it that i had to immediately say no because i knew i was going to get it for him.  How original!!  He was seen tearing up the front lawn for a couple of days after he got it.  He ended up with 31cents and a big bolt that he thinks might have come off some important ship or something.  there is a tv show named 'diggers' where these two crazy guys go and did up certain areas in search of treasures and they run every time they make a find...They are complete knuckleheads and that is what draws us to them.  its funny and i'm glad he he likes it.

Awaiting the bus

Here is Alfred E.Newman waiting for his ride to school....Its rare to get him to sit still in the morning like this.  This week we've had tennis balls, soccer balls and footballs.  I stay in shape just chasing the errant throws

The save!!!

He's off with another sport, soccer.  He's actually pretty good at it, probably because he is a ball of fire and is running all over the field.  Just like his oder brother, they love the competition and wherever the ball is you can usually find them.  Here, this little guy on the other team was very good and had the ball most of the time for their team.  He had a couple of goals but then Jackie took to the net as goalie.  Jack is very agressive and made a great save here.., though the guy did get a kick into his leg which Jack tells me hurts quite a bit.  This other little guy was very impressive with his moves and scored with a blast a little while later.......but not this time!!!

Family apple picking at the farm...2015

Off we go to our annual apple picking excursion with the cousins and Quinnie..  This is such a fun trip.  Its a little over an hour away but the road up to it is perfect for blasting out some songs and making some noise.  We get there and get right into the hay ride over to the apple picking area.  Of course i go to take a picture from inside the wagon and Laura jumps right out.  she's so funny and I'm glad she did.  This was a perfect time of year to pick as all the trees were full with apples and hadnt been picked apart yet.  We got a couple of really big bags and off we went to the picnic area.   There were so many bags of the perfect donuts they sell there as well as some cider for all.  I ate so many donuts i still feel bloated.......a good feeling.

After all the picking was done we must take our annual trip to the pumpking patch to take some pictures.  They wouldnt dare complain about doing this because they all know that Autie Kara loves taking pictures over here....and she means business.  They love their auntie kara and they'd do it anyway for her.

Superhero 5k race

It certainly was a busy Saturday with all the little creatures awakening early with laura and Catherine heading off with me to be at the Superhero 5k.  Laura has a football injury so she had to stay on the sidelines for this one.  She, of course, had a ton of fun.  she had given her race bib to Quinnie who ran/walked with Erin.  Well, they took the walking path, after laura was already signed up for the run and they took a short cut and ended up finishing 2nd and 3rd in that age group that Laura was supposed to be in.  So when they were announcing the awards they announced Laura's name so she went up and got the medal.  to make matters worse, Catherine actually would have finished 3rd if they hadnt taken the shortcut and she would have recieved a medal for 3rd place....She was just thrilled they announced her name as the first girl to finish under 10 years old so all was well....

we all had alot of fun running today.  Catherine is really impressive with her running.  She started with the other two and soon took off without them because they were holding her back.  I could never keep up with her.

I had planned to walk the race with kimmie and kara but we got of the starting gate and i got my power walking on and then i just kept going.  I guess i was supposed to take the two mile course but i wanted to walk the 5k.  I really need to practice to keep my scores up, i think i finished almost last....i caught Joey and Kristen for the last mile and we finished together...that part was really fun
The last mile of the race i hooked up with Joey and Kristen.  when we got close he wanted to sprint into the finish line and hold our hands.  Such a cute little buggah.
