Toothie strikes again

Lyn and I went to pick up Jimmy today at school in the Share and Take turns truck. Clayton came out first and told me that James had a tooth fall out. I could see him in the line behind all the other kids, minus a tooth, grinning and all proud because he lost another tooth. Mrs. Matthews had given him a nice little ziploc bag to put the tooth in. It didnt take him long to put it under his pillow and for some reason he thought the tooth fairy was going to take it before he went to sleep. It has been a hectic week here so its a good thing he brought it up. I think I just heard the tooth fairy come and go in his room.
Jack his this new thing he likes to do. He put his foot in my face so I can smell it and shreek out PU. It even stops his crying.....for a second anyway.
Last night Lyn had to go to a wake so I got to keep all the little animals all to myself. With great fear in my heart I brought all four of them to Friendly's. They were semi well behaved. I forgot to take Jack's milk cup so he had to drink out of a cup with a straw and it didnt survive very well. He got a cut up hot dog with mac and cheese. The mac and cheese only partially ended up in his mouth with the rest in his hand being thrown around the restaurant.
Overall, they were pretty well behaved. Every time we go there I get a bowl of clam chowder and Catherine eats most of it. She barely gets her mouthful when she wants some more. I take one spoonful, she gets one and Jimmy just wants the liquid part of it, no clams or potatoes. Laura wanted no part of it. Of course the Ice Cream was the best part of it.
Jimmy got into a little trouble with me after his last game and I had to bench him for the next game, which is tomorrow. Today I was dead set on keeping good on my word but as the day goes into night I'm having a hard time not letting him go to the game. All the parenting books in the world will disagree with me but I dont think I can go through with it.
Laura has soccer at 8:30 in the morning and Jimmy has hockey at about the same time too. I'm taking Laura because I've missed the last two weeks of it. I'll have to bring the camera because I think its the last soccer game of the season.

No Hitter

Jimmy is usually is so good when he goes to bed as far as sleep is concerned. The best thing happened tonight. Lyn and I were watching the Red Sox game and anxiously awaiting the 9th inning to start. Jon Lester was pitching a no hitter. All of a sudden Jimmy appears at the couch. He just doesnt usually do this. I think he was sleep walking...he clearly was not awake. Given his love for the Sox I had to grab him and put him next to me on the couch as we both watched the 9th while Lester completed his no-hitter. Now he is wide awake. What a memory. I'm glad he woke up. He told me that he knew that Lester was going to throw a no hitter....It was so awesome to watch it with him.

Laura's T-Ball

its great to watch all the Tee ballers. half of them are making dirt castles while the game is going on. They do it right though, two or three innings at the most. Anything more is torture.

By the way, my neighbor Roger told his brother Ray that I passed the bar. Ray asked Roger when he talked to me and he said he hadn't spoken to me, he was inside his house (two houses down) sleeping and he heard the screams two weeks ago.

Back to Fenway

After hanging for three hours in the rain the night before, we loaded up again and headed right back for the makeup night game.
This wasnt easy, We spotted Wally walking towards us in the aisle. I grabbed Jimmy and brought him right to Wally, who turned around and posed.

They won too.

Fenway is all wet

Went to Fenway with Aunt Jo, Lyn and Jimmy Friday night. We knew it was going to rain but thought to give it a shot anyway. I told Jim, and I truly believe, that a rainy night at Fenway with no baseball game is better than a night anywhere else. Tons of people stayed and just waited. They finally called the game at 8:40PM. I think they say the makeup game is tomorrow night at 8pm. Ohhh yeah, we'll be there.
Jimmy was intent on making a sign. We are going to use it again tomorrow night. As the rain got heavier and heavier he kept talking aloud about how the rain was letting up and the Red Sox game would be starting soon. At one point he yelled down to the red sox bench and told them to get out there and start. .......still something about that green wall.....

baseball game

I have Laura's pictures coming up soon. Jim Jim loves to catch. He runs to back up every play. No matter what position I put him in he is all over the field. He's automatic with ground balls. In the last two games he's made three spectacular catches. When we were practicing in the snow earlier in the year he would have me throw the ball near the snowbank so he could make diving catches so now I think he waits for the opportunity to dive. One of the catches was a long fly ball. After he caught it all the turkeys were body slamming him all the way to the bench.

Recital

She did the Mash..she did the monster mash...it was a graveyard smash.

Laura did such a great job with the other creatures. It was so funny to see them bouncing all around the stage. Its absolutely crazy during these things. People everywhere. I couldnt stop laughing watching Laura and the other monsters doing the monster mash. She does it with such passion. Emily did the same Monster Mash and Erin was in an earlier dance. All very beautiful girls and they were so happy.
Speaking of Erin, we all got to sing Happy Birthday to her after the recital.  Her Real Birthday is tomorrow night but she loved it just as much.  She's a very fun gal and sang along with us.  A great time was had by all

I Passed !!!

Bye bye bar exam. Got home from Boston about 4pm and the mail was just getting here. I got inside the house, went out to the front lawn in the rain. As I opened the envelope I just sat and stared at my name for a good thirty seconds. When I did turn all I saw was the word congratulations, there were some other words saying that I passed. When I realized the results I just screamed...I mean a very loud scream. After that I started banging on the hood of the share and take turns truck. One of my neighbors who I dont really know that well just looked over at me not knowing what to think. The mailman, who knew what I was waiting for, was a little bit down the street. I saw him pump his fist and yell out something to me. Lyn and Marion were inside the house and heard me well into the kitchen. I literally could not open the next page for that period. Lyn looked out into the yard and noticed (I did not notice) that all the neighbors were looking out their windows.
For about two or three hours I didnt even read the rest of the page or the next. I called my mother and of course her phone was off the hook. Marion was at the house so I asked her to drive me to my mothers place. Of course she wasnt home so I had to go walking around and I finally found her walking with her lady friend Viola. All i could do was throw my hands up in the air and exclaim that I passed. She was so excited and gave St. Jude all the credit. What followed was a barrage of phone calls as the news got around.
Eddie and I ended the night with a trip to the Gentlemans Club.....hardy har har.......Used up all my dollar bills and came home.
All this crazy stuff and now I have to remember that tomorrow we have a recital and two baseball games. What a day though. I got to call all the brothers and sisters and tell them the good news. I am still looking at the paper and thinking that somehow they are going to change the message and tell me they made a mistake.
