Independence Day at the lake 2018

And the Rockets red glare....It was a fabulous time at the lake for all involved.  We had quite the full house on this fourth of July holiday.  Its one of those times when you think about throwing a bunch of mattresses on the floor after everyone plays hard all day and plops down on one of them and out you go for the night.  I cant even tell you how many adult and kids we had at the lakehouse but it was full...and hot !! There was nana and doe, Jamie and Kara and all the kids too....and Alice too.   Thankfully, we brought the portable a/c's from the house.  Normally, we are nice and cool at night but this time it was different.  It was muggy!!
I must say, its so fun to have the cousins (Emily and Erin) with us.  Make no mistake about it, Erin runs the place when she's here.  Most of the time she's cooking or letting people know where they should be.  Its got the point where I have to ask permission from her when i come up here....Maybe not, but she really loves the place and i'm happy how comfortable she is up here.

Jackie asked me to take this picture of him with the fireworks behind him.  He was such a good boy the whole time.  He really had a great time during the whole holiday.  Jimmy and Jacob were also here but they stayed at the house....They might be getting too old for these types of things.  They both enjoyed the beach and were partaking in the frolicking..and sunburns too....

And Alice came and seemed to have a blast with Laura once again.  These two are so goofy...what a great time they have.  She's such a nice kid and laughs all the  time with the rest of them.  I dont know whats up with the two shirts though....must have been in the "please take these shirts" discount rack.  The whole holiday really went well....it was a time that we had hoped for when we got this place.
Once again Nana was out and about on the lake..this time on the kayak, taking a ride with Jackie around the islands.
On the fifth we went over to Wolfeboro and got some crepes (or creeps as i like to call them) and some goodies at the Yum Yum shop.  I had never had creeps before...and I must say, i approve of them.  Its a quaint little town with some very rich people there.  When we went into the Creep store there was this young couple in front of us, I called them Biff and Boofy....well, there was quite the line in the place...apparently creeps are popular here...Well, Biff orders a creep and Boofy had taken a seat towards the front of the place.  Biff tells Boofy that there is a 1/2 hour wait to get the creep...Boofy, without blinking, says to Biff "isn't there someone we could talk to".....yes Boofy, you could talk to Jack.  I'm sure he's at least be entertaining to talk to.
