First there was a road race, then a parade. We all ran the race and didn't even require the defibrillator. Catherine did really well, she ran with Baby Erin and uncle Jamie. Uncle Jamie said that Erin kind of pooped out but Catherine probably could have gone ahead. she did the two miles with no problem for her second year in a row.
Emily ran really well once again. Baby Erin looks spent here...and its accurate.
Jimmy and Jacob ran together for the whole race and did a pretty good pace.
Well, good ole Jackie just about killed me. We were about fifty feet into the race when he told me he needed to stop and walk. This really wasn't that big of a deal except that there were about two thousand people in the race and it was tight at the beginning. After about a quarter mile he talked me into carrying him on my shoulders. So on and off I did just that. It was kind of fun though. When I would put him down we would run two telephone poles then walk for one telephone pole. He tired of this eventually. At one point he told me to put him down so we could run by mommy who he knew had the camera. The last 1/2 mile he did really good because he saw some pals from school.
clayton was up ahead and ran a good race.
Uncle Jamie kept up the pace with Erin and Catherine. In years past he would have Emily and maybe Laura too, but now they are very, very good. Emily came in second in her age group and so did Laura.
Mr. Ring and the bunch sat with us for the parade.
The ump had a great time in his brown chair. Mr Ring kept his grandsons in line the whole time too.
Here is a beautiful picture of Meghan and Lilly enjoying the parade.
She is just so darn cut.
