More skiing in Vermont

regardless of the illness sneaking their way to us, the family still managed to have one fantastic time in Vermont this weekend. The week ended with my having no voice, most were happy but we forged on. Up at that hill, the kids couldnt wait to hit the hills. Jimmy has been practicing with lessons and free-skiing once a week but Laura hadn't skied since last year. Catherine and Jack had never put on ski's until this year. We were worried about Catherine doing lessons, she was nervous, of course. Once she got going she really got it in her mind that she wanted to do it. It certainly couldnt have gone any better. She had three days of one on one training. In the end she was up at the top of the mountain skiing down. She was so proud of herself

Tossing em up....with a laugh

It's one of those times that come around only about once a decade(thankfully). I havent been really this sick in a while but with drugs and rest (yeah right) we should all turn out okay.
So today it snowed once again and the driveway needed some shoveling. After that was all done the car needed to be packed for a short trip. A quick talking to the neighbor was interrupted when the belly began screaming at me and I needed to go toss the cookies. On all four on the terlet i was throwing up. Apparently, I was making some noise. All of a sudden I hear the crowd of kids coming down the hall and resting outside the bathroom door. I could just imagine the stooges lying outside the excitement. Catherine finally yells out and asks me if i'm okay...almost immediately Jack asks me what color my throw up was. I chuckled..Catherine says that my throw up is white but then she tells Jack his throw up is brown and hers is white. Jack, offended, starts yelling at Catherine telling her NOOOO CATHERINE....then he yells to me and tells me to have Catherine stop saying that his puke is brown. This continues and here poor ole dad is hurting his sides laughing and puking.

Laura and the snow stage

After a nice snow storm, Laura and I were the only ones out there shoveling. After we were done with the shoveling, dear father-in-law came over and asked me if the snow blower worked out okay. Apparently, he had come over the other day and fixed the snowblower. We had fun anyway. It started to sleet a bit and Laura still wanted to put on a play for me while she was using the snowbank as a stage. So, off to the garage, I wasnt going to stand so I got a nice seat with an umbrella.

The homeless snowman

We pulled in to the driveway and saw this foot and a half foot high homeless snowman in the front lawn. Lyn said to me that it had to be Laura and sure enough, it was. She apparently built him and went outside and talked to him for quite some time. I still cant stop laughing about it...in a good way.
We annualy have some of the worst snowmen this side of Alaska.
